SealingTech and Parsons SPARC: Safeguarding Tomorrow Technology Exchange 2024

05:28:2024

This month, SealingTech and Parsons SPARC organization gathered for their inaugural all-day Technology Exchange Meeting (TEM) in Centerville, Virginia. Its purpose, to promote collaboration between the partner organizations, share enterprising innovations and strategies, and create new business opportunities. Approximately 200 team members from SealingTech and Parsons attended the event in-person and online.

The Technology Exchange Meeting promoted collaboration between the partner organizations, shared enterprising innovations and strategies, and worked to create new business opportunities.

Topics including predicting enemy course of actions (ECOAs) through artificial intelligence (AI), the next realm of cloud-enhanced solutions, enhancing the protection of critical infrastructure, using large language models (LLM) to solve natural language processing (NLP) issues, augmenting cyber operations with generative AI, and more were explored in depth by presenters from both companies.

Between presentations, lively discussions ensued on synchronizing joint efforts and sharing data and research for upcoming customer proposals. The participants enjoyed brainstorming how these new cybersecurity and intelligence capabilities could be best applied to emerging needs for the federal government and private enterprise.

“When we joined forces with Parsons in 2023, an inquisitive and enthusiastic exchange of ideas organically began. The TEM gave our technical experts valuable in-person facetime with their talented team and the opportunity to bridge our resources that will ultimately benefit our customers,” says Ed Sealing, Chief Technology Officer at SealingTech.

Principal Technical Consultant at Parsons, Aaron Mihalik, agrees. “We’re constantly communicating with Ed and his team. By combining our research outcomes and sharing documentation across our companies, our teams can get up to speed quickly and expedite customer solutions.”

Parsons SPARC: a brief history

SealingTech’s CTO, Ed Sealing, shares insights about generative AI at the 2024 TEM.

Ryan Gabriele, Senior Vice President of Defense and Intelligence at Parsons, created the Solutions, Products, Applied Research, and Collaboration (SPARC) organization to bring together top technical talent from across Defense and Intelligence (D&I). Since its inception, SPARC remains instrumental in cultivating integrated solutions for DoD customers and oversees Parsons’ research and development as it pertains to applied artificial intelligence (AI).

“Parsons wanted to put the spotlight on our technical leadership across our two companies,” Gabriele states. “The TEM gave us the opportunity to encourage collaboration and foster cross-company communication as we continue to lead the charge in cybersecurity innovation together.”

The addition of SealingTech continues to help Parsons expand its customer base across the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community, and further enhance the company’s capabilities in defensive cyber operations; integrated mission-solutions powered by AI and machine learning; edge computing and edge access modernization; critical infrastructure protection; and secure data management.

The annual TEM between the partner organizations plays an important role in solidifying our joint mission to drive innovation for our customers.
